Two Kananga National High School (KNHS) students turned over a Samsung cellphone to The Pipelines on December 16, 2025, and sought assistance in notifying its owner to claim it.
According to Renz Gasing and James Richard Barabad, they were at the dirty canteen around 3:36 p.m. when they noticed a mobile phone. To ensure proper handling, they decided to submit the cellphone to The Pipelines.
Just minutes after receiving the device, the official student publication of KNHS posted a lost-and-found announcement.
After being informed by his classmates about the post, Justine Vallejos visited the student publications office the following day to retrieve the cellphone. But before returning it, staffers of The Pipelines conducted a thorough background check and verification.
After confirming ownership by accessing the device through Vallejos’ fingerprint, the cellphone was officially returned to him.
Vallejos said the cellphone is worth ₱20,000 and expressed his gratitude that many KNHS students remain honest.

He also shared that in previous months, he had found a cellphone himself and turned it over to his adviser.
