Based on the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 4 for Tropical Depression Ada, issued at 5:00 a.m. today, January 15, 2026, Ada slightly intensified as it crossed the Philippine Sea east of Mindanao.
The state weather bureau said the latest location of Ada as of 4:00 a.m., based on all available data, was at 385 kilometers east-northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, or 465 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte (coordinates: 9.4°N, 129.7°E).
Regarding its intensity, Ada is bringing sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (km/h) near the center, with gusts of up to 70 km/h, and has a central pressure of 1000 hPa.
Ada maintains its movement at 20 km/h and is moving northwestward.
Considering its circulation size, including the eyewall and rainbands, Ada’s strong winds may extend outward up to 400 kilometers from the center.

Luzon:
Sorsogon and the southeastern portion of Albay (Rapu-Rapu, Manito, Legazpi City)
Visayas:
Northern Samar; Samar; Eastern Samar; the eastern portion of Biliran (Maripipi, Kawayan, Culaba, Caibiran, Cabucgayan); the eastern portion of Leyte (Carigara, Barugo, San Miguel, Babatngon, Tacloban City, Tunga, Jaro, Alangalang, Santa Fe, Palo, Dagami, Pastrana, Tanauan, Tabontabon, Julita, Dulag, Tolosa, La Paz, Mayorga, MacArthur, Javier, Abuyog, Mahaplag); and the eastern portion of Southern Leyte (Silago, Sogod, Libagon, Saint Bernard, Hinunangan, Hinundayan, Anahawan, San Juan, Liloan, San Ricardo, San Francisco, Pintuyan)
Mindanao:
Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur
Areas under Signal No. 1 may experience strong winds ranging from 39 km/h to 61 km/h, posing minimal to minor threats to life and property.
