MANILA – The Department of Education (DepEd) today, issued a statement confirming that at least 16,000 teachers were promoted in the initial phase of the Expanded Career Progression (ECP).
According to DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, all teachers will be given the opportunity to advance in the ECP.
“Maraming guro ang matagal nang handang umangat. Ang responsibilidad namin ay alisin ang sagabal at tiyaking gumagalaw ang sistema para sa kanila (Many teachers have long been ready to advance. Our responsibility is to remove any obstacles and ensure that the system works for them),” he said.
In a press release, DepEd announced that 16,025 teachers have already been granted promotions, while the credentials of the other 41,183 qualified teachers have been forwarded to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
The statement also mentioned that among the 41,183 qualified teachers, at least 18,000 are entitled to adjustments of three salary grades, while the remaining 29,000 will receive an increase of one or two salary grades.
Angara added that he will do everything to ensure that all teachers receive their promotions before retiring from service. I via The Pipelines Integrated News
