The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) published on its official Facebook page Thunderstorm Advisory No. 19 at 2:07 p.m. this afternoon, citing several areas in the Visayas to experience moderate to heavy rainshowers, with strong winds in the next one to two hours.
In Samar, areas affected include Catbalogan City, Jiabong, Motiong, San Jose de Buan, Matuguinao, Paranas, Villareal, Zumarraga, Daram, and Talalora.
Meanwhile, in Leyte, the advisory covers Tacloban City, Palo, Santa Fe, Capoocan, Kananga, Ormoc City, Pastrana, Dagami, Albuera, and Bato.
Many parts of Southern Leyte, particularly Malitbog, Macrohon, Tomas Oppus, Silago, Libagon, Saint Bernard, San Juan, Anahawan, and Sogod, will also experience said weather condition.
Basay in Negros Oriental, President Carlos P. Garcia and Ubay in Bohol, Barili, Carcar City, and Sibonga in Cebu are also included in the thunderstorm advisory.
The weather bureau advised the public to exercise caution due to the risk of flash floods and landslides in the mentioned places.
