To ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming Computer-Based National Career Assessment Examination (CB-NCAE) for School Year 2025–2026 for Grade 10 learners, Dr. Marivic Pajaron, Kananga National High School (KNHS) Principal IV, called an emergency meeting this afternoon at the KNHS Multipurpose Hall.
Participants in the meeting included Gina Cotiangco, KNHS Junior High School Officer-in-Charge; department heads; Grade 10 advisers; and selected teachers who will serve as proctors for the national examination.

“Magtinabangay kita (Let us help each other). Let us work as one,” Pajaron said.
“May we work together with optimism to make the conduct of CB-NCAE a success,” the school administrator added.
Meanwhile, Celso Canciller, KNHS Administrative Officer II, who attended the division orientation on the conduct of the CB-NCAE, said that the Department of Education (DepEd) Central Office, through DepEd Memorandum No. 108, s. 2025, set the conduct of the CB-NCAE from December 2025 to January 2026, with the exact schedule to be determined by each Schools Division Office.
Due to several factors, including inclement weather, the Leyte Division decided to conduct the examination in January 2026.
According to Ronnie Pitugo, KNHS Grade 10 Chairman, a total of 587 Grade 10 learners from KNHS will take the CB-NCAE, which will be conducted in 19 sessions.
CB-NCAE aims to guide learners in identifying suitable career paths, particularly through the General Scholastic Aptitude (GSA) and the Career and Occupational Roles Explorer (CORE) domains.
GSA covers Abstract Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning (English and Filipino), and Perceptual Accuracy and Response Efficiency (PARE).
On the other hand, CORE includes CORE-A (RIASEC) and CORE-B (Thurstone Model), which are designed to identify learners’ inclinations and preferences for more comprehensive career guidance.
Pajaron expressed optimism that, with the full cooperation of teachers, the CB-NCAE at KNHS will be successful.
